Melon picking at Nikken Farm

Please enjoy muskmelons grown in a warm climate!
Summer in Irago means "melon picking"!
At Nikken Farm, located in the warm climate of Irago, musk melons are carefully grown to concentrate their natural sweetness and flavor.
The experience includes picking one whole melon and enjoying a freshly cut half melon on-site.

Enjoy the sea with your family!
Search for sea creatures on the sandy beach at low tide! Observe the creatures hiding in various places such as sand, reefs, eelgrass beds, and under tetrapods with underwater goggles and collect them with a net. Share the excitement of meeting creatures, the joy of discovering them, the surprise of gently touching them, and the fun of carefully observing with your child!
- Children up to the fourth grade of elementary school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children under 3 years old can participate for free if accompanied by a guardian.

Make a summer memory of surfing
A surfing school experience held in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, where the world surfing championships were held. Experienced instructors with over 10 years of teaching experience will provide lessons tailored to your skill level—whether you're a beginner, looking to improve, or already advanced. First timers, women, and solo participants are all welcome!
- There is an age restriction (10 to 60 years old).
Children must be accompanied by a guardian when using the facility.

Beechcraft experience in the facility
Blue Drop's Matsuno, who is working to promote the charm of Atsumi's sea, and our hotel have collaborated to create a new "Beach Craft Experience" which will be available from 2026!
Using shells and sea glass collected from the sea in Atsumi, you can create a one-of-a-kind "seashell art" piece or "herbarium ballpoint pen"!

Illuminated Chrysanthemum Night Tour

It's as if fireflies are dancing in the air!! The glow of Tahara City's illuminated chrysanthemum greenhouse, the best in Japan
This is an after-dinner tour to see the production area of illuminated chrysanthemums, which can usually only be seen from the outside. A flower expert will guide you through the greenhouse, carefully explaining each and every detail.
The "Shiragiku Rainbow Coloring Experience" is a special benefit for hotel reservations. You can learn about the mechanism by which plants absorb water while enjoying the changes in color, such as how the intensity of the color changes depending on the time the flowers are left in colored water. Recommended for children's independent research projects! (You can take home the colored flowers.)
Hotel transfers are included, so you can travel safely to and from the hotel.

Strawberry picking at Nikken Farm
When you think of spring in Irago, you think of strawberry picking!
Bright red, juicy strawberries grow in clusters, including Akihime, a large, sweet variety with little acidity, and Kaorino, which has an elegant fragrance that can be enjoyed by everyone from babies to the elderly.
Enjoy our large, sweet strawberries in our expansive greenhouses totaling 1,750 tsubo across five locations.

Atsumi Peninsula Brewing
Craft beer tasting experience

Enjoy a tasting comparison of popular local craft beers! The first plan asks, "What is craft beer?" and "How is it different from the beer I usually drink?" You can compare the unique craft beers of Atsumi Peninsula Brewing, which uses local agricultural products, with commercially available beers. The second plan asks, "Which snacks go best with this beer?" You can enjoy pairings with craft beers suggested by pub staff. Both plans allow you to choose from 3 or 5 types of beer.

An active Yakushima nature guide will guide you through "Tahara's Yakushima" ♪Experience nature using all your senses!
The Atsumi Peninsula is surrounded by the sea and is rich in nature, and its forests are also very attractive.
Let's take a leisurely walk through the forest, soothed by nature, in "The Forest of Atsumi Peninsula, where you can feel the Yakushima Island," or "Tahara's Yakushima" for short, discovered by a Yakushima nature guide originally from the Atsumi Peninsula.
After the experience, relax and warm up your body in the hot spring at Irago Ocean Resort.
