The torch relay for the 20th Asian Games (2026/Aichi, Nagoya) will be held in Tahara City 🏄✨

For the first time, surfing will be included as an official event at the Asian Games, Asia's largest sporting event held every four years! The venue for this surfing competition will be Pacific Long Beach in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, a famous surf spot that boasts a history of hosting world championships!

Prior to the Games, the Olympic Torch Relay will take place in Tahara City on Saturday, August 29, 2026. ☺️🌿

(Please note that there will be road closures and other traffic restrictions around the relay course on the day of the event.)
